Alliant Energy Kids is designed to teach students important concepts about electricity and natural gas: How it works, where it comes from, ways to reduce energy usage and how to stay safe. 

The lesson plans, online games and activities to do at home or school provided promote energy awareness that will help students make meaningful connections between everyday activities and energy.

The timeframe for 4th and 5th grade teachers in the Alliant Energy service territory to order The Energy Zone, our twelve-page student magazine, and the classroom poster is now closed. 

However, teachers will be able to order again in the Fall of 2012.
